SP Rapport Statens Planteavlsforsog ( 37): 40 pp.
Management and application of cattle slurry in fodder crop rotations
In field trials in 1989-92 at Foulum, Denmark, a rotation of barley and peas Solara undersown with perennial ryegrass Bonita, perennial ryegrass, winter wheat Sleipner with a catch crop of phacelia (Phacelia tanacetifolia) Torfrida, and fodder beet Magnum was given 75 or 125% of recommended fertilizer rates either all as cattle slurry with additional N, or half as slurry and half as mineral NPK fertilizer. Fertilizer was applied as a single application or two splits.
