Management and monitoring in natural parks operated by the Barcelona (Spain) Diputacio

The Barcelona Diputacio is a body of local government with an important role in the planning and management of Barcelona protected natural areas administered through its Natural Park Service. In this region, the Natural Park Service runs four natural parks, which cover more than 66,000 ha and form a comparatively untouched green belt around the Barcelona metropolitan area, the most economically developed and densely populated area of Catalonia.
