Management approaches: similarities and differences between American and Croatian managers


, : Management approaches: similarities and differences between American and Croatian managers. Tourism and Hospitality Management 2(1): 157-177

The paper presents the results of a comparative study of management styles in companies in Croatia and the USA. Data were derived firstly, from a 1993 survey carried out among 231 managers from 25 companies across Croatia, and a 1995 survey conducted among 77 managers from 12 US companies situated in Kentucky. The companies included hotels, fast food chains, retailers and wholesalers.
