Management of broomrape (Orobanche cernua) in tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum)

, : Management of broomrape (Orobanche cernua) in tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum). Management of broomrape Orobanche cernua in tobacco Nicotiana tabacum: 183 pp.

The biology and distribution of O. cernua in Karnataka is described. Crops affected by the weed are identified, and an assessment is made of yield and quality reduction in tobacco. Possible control strategies, including physical, cultural, cropping, chemical and biological methods, are outlined. Management of O. cernua in India is discussed, and control of the seed and parasitic phases is considered.
