Management of cashew stem and root borer Plocaederus ferrugineus L

, : Management of cashew stem and root borer Plocaederus ferrugineus L. Cashew 9(3): 17-23

Studies on the management of Plocaederus ferrugineus were carried out in 10-year-old cashew plantations at Nandaypalem, 8 km from Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh, India, in 1988-89. Two sets of treatments, one before extraction of larvae from damaged trees and another after extraction, were tested. All the trees from which grubs were extracted after or before imposing treatments had significantly less damage than controls throughout the period of observation.
