A retrospective clinical study was performed to evaluate the effects of anthelmintics on the course of intestinal obstruction complicating ascariasis, based on a sample of 42 Turkish children (26 with partial and 16 with complete intestinal obstruction) aged between 2 and 9 years (mean age 4.8+or-0.7 years) who were treated between 1988 and 1995.
