Management of phosphorus in wheat based cropping system in valleys of Himachal Pradesh

, : Management of phosphorus in wheat based cropping system in valleys of Himachal Pradesh. Fertiliser News 41(8): 59...63

In field trials on experimental farms and in farmers' fields in the Kangra and Kullu valleys in 1971-94, the phosphorus requirement of maize-wheat and rice-wheat cropping systems was studied. In the maize-wheat system, at Palampur the addition of 60 kg P2O5/ha increased the yield of maize 2-3 times and that of wheat 3-6 times compared to controls, whereas there was no significant response of P in maize and wheat at Bajaura.

The drug is preferentially deposited in body fat, and its efficacy against nematode parasites is due to its prolonged release. The mechanism of resistance to moxidectin is still unknown...
