, : Management of phosphorus in wheat based cropping system in valleys of Himachal Pradesh. Fertiliser News 41(8): 59...63

In field trials on experimental farms and in farmers' fields in the Kangra and Kullu valleys in 1971-94, the phosphorus requirement of maize-wheat and rice-wheat cropping systems was studied. In the maize-wheat system, at Palampur the addition of 60 kg P2O5/ha increased the yield of maize 2-3 times and that of wheat 3-6 times compared to controls, whereas there was no significant response of P in maize and wheat at Bajaura.
