Management of saline drainage water in evaporation ponds

, : Management of saline drainage water in evaporation ponds. Proceedings of 6th drainage workshop on drainage and the environment, Ljubljana, Slovenia, April 21-29, 1996: 55-63

Evaporation ponds can provide an interim solution to the problem of disposing of saline drainage water in irrigated basins with no outlet. The paper presents initial field assessment of this technology to manage subsurface drainage effluent from waterlogged, saline soils with high SAR in an arid region of Haryana State, India.
