Mathematical modelling of threshing and separating process in axial threshing units
A mathematical description of the threshing and separating process in axial threshing units is presented. The mathematical functions describe grain separation through the concave and grates, grain separation efficiency, and also predict the threshing and separation losses as functions of the length of the rotor. The mathematical model was validated with experimental data obtained from the testing of 2 axial threshing units.
