Modelling post-absorptive protein and amino acid metabolism in the ruminant

The objective of this paper is to review some different approaches of modeling protein metabolism. It is restricted to post-absorptive protein metabolism in ruminants. It covers the Cornell net carbohydrate and protein system, integrated tissue and tracer models, and models by Baldwin et al., Gerrits et al., and Gill et al.
