Modifications of digestive transit in dogs by metoclopramide

Revista de Medicina Veterinaria Buenos Aires 78(1): 18-24
Modifications of digestive transit in dogs by metoclopramide
Seven dogs were monitored through television radioscopy on 3 occasions: untreated with metoclopramide; given 0.2 mg/kg metoclopramide i.v., and given 0.4 mg/kg i.v. After a 0.4 mg/kg dose, total gastrointestinal transit time was reduced by 61%, gastric emptying time by 37%, time for arrival of the contrast medium to the ileocaecal valve by 62%.
