Mortality of coleopteran beetles after nun moth (Lymantria monacha L.) control treatments

The impact on non-target beetle populations was studied of treatment with the contact insecticides Decis 2.5EC Fastac 10EC and Trebon 10SC in a nun moth (Lymantria monacha) outbreak area in Poland. The beetles were classified into 3 trophic groups - zoophages, saprophages and phytophages, their importance in forest protection characterized, and dominance coefficients calculated for the most numerous species.
