NEXSYS: an expert system for estimating non-point source nutrient export rates

, : NEXSYS: an expert system for estimating non-point source nutrient export rates. AI Applications 11(2): 11-18

To help catchment managers in Australia control nutrient pollution, the Catchment Management Support System (CMSS) was developed. One of the biggest difficulties facing users of CMSS is the need to provide the nutrient load prediction model in CMSS with appropriate diffuse nutrient export rates for different land uses. To help overcome this difficulty, a simple rule-based expert system (NEXSYS) was developed.
