Olfactory responses of cotton bollworm, Helicoverpa armigera to sex pheromone and plant volatile components

Olfactory responses of cotton bollworm, Helicoverpa armigera to sex pheromone and plant volatile components

Entomologia Sinica 4(2): 159-172

Electroantennograms (EAGs) were recorded from virgin laboratory-reared male and female adults of Helicoverpa armigera to sex pheromone components and a range of plant volatile components. Only males responded to (Z)-11-hexadecenal. For plant volatile components, a large degree uniformity of EAG responses was observed between males and females.
