The oviposition preference of Sitophilus zeamais was studied on 30 maize genotypes in the laboratory at 26 degrees C and 70% RH. The most preferred genotypes for oviposition were: Ejura (1) 7843Q, P11 Dia 1'90, Cacahuacintle and P3 Dia 1'90. The least preferred genotypes were B25C22-MHS-1-2-b, Across 8765, P7 Dia 1'90 and Palomero.
