Ozonization and ionization of the air in cages for poultry

, : Ozonization and ionization of the air in cages for poultry. Mekhanizatsiya i Elektrifikatsiya Sel' skogo Khozyaistva ( 8): 19-21

Investigations were made to develop a system of ozonizers and ionizers for poultry cages. The ionizer/ozonizers are of the barrier type, with metallic electrodes coaxially arranged and separated by a glass cylinder. The system was set so that the ozone concentration did not exceed 0.1 mg/msuperscript 3. Trials were made in a hen house with laying hens housed individually in cages in the 2nd and 3rd layers of the battery.
