PASO - computer-aided models for decision making in plant protection

, : PASO - computer-aided models for decision making in plant protection. Gesunde Pflanzen 47(6): 222-230

In a 3-year pilot project carried out in Germany during 1993-96, 10 expert systems for forecasting and decision making in plant protection are introduced into plant protection practices in Germany. The models are used for forecasting arthropod pests and diseases of arable and vegetable crops, and apple fruits. The pilot project is carried out and partly funded by the German Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forestry and involves collaboration with 13 plant protection services.
