Photosystem II (PSII) was inhibited and Calvin cycle activity was disrupted in maize plants exposed to toxic concentrations of Cu (50 micro M) and in Nicotiana benthamiana plants infected with the pepper mild mottle irus or the paprika mild mottle virus.
