Palatability of the five most frequently grown potato cultivars in Slovenia to wild boars

, : Palatability of the five most frequently grown potato cultivars in Slovenia to wild boars. Zbornik Biotehniske Fakultete Univerze v Ljubljani, Kmetijstvo ( 66): 151-160

Trials were performed on 10 wild boars in a fenced area where each animal was simultaneously fed with the cultivars Sante, Ulster Sceptre, Fiana, Cvetnik and Pentland Dell for 5 days. The position of each cultivar was changed each day in accordance with a predetermined pattern. The leftovers were weighed daily to determine the intake of each cultivar. The most tasty cultivars proved to be Ulster Sceptre and Sante. Effects of cultivar, trough and the sex of the animal were significant.
