, : Paracoccidioidomycosis and AIDS. Clinical Infectious Diseases 22(6): 1132-1133

In response to a paper concerning the prevalence of Paracoccidioides brasiliensis infections in AIDS patients in Latin America (Goldani, L. Z.; Sugar, A. M. Clinical Infectious Diseases (1995) 21, 1275-1281), it is noted that there have been relatively few cases of paracoccidioidomycosis in AIDS patients despite a high prevalence (approx. 60% as measured by skin tests).
