Performance of annual crops under canopy of Hardwickia binata Roxb. (anjan) in agroforestry system

Performance of annual crops under canopy of Hardwickia binata Roxb. (anjan) in agroforestry system

Journal of Soils and Crops 6(2): 151-153

A field experiment was conducted at the watershed management unit of C.R.S. Dr.Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola, Maharashtra, to study the effect of light interception by 4- to 5-yr-old Hardwickia binata at 5x2 m spacing on yields of 6 kharif crops in 1992-93. The crops were sown after pruning the trees up to height 1 m, and there were 10 crop rows per plot at 45 cm apart.
