Physical and mechanical properties of Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) grown in a plantation in Belgrad forest

Physical and mechanical properties of Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) grown in a plantation in Belgrad forest

Istanbul Universitesi Orman Fakultesi Dergisi Seri A 42(2): 23-44

Green and dry density, shrinkage, modulus of rupture in static bending, compression and tension parallel to the grain, toughness and hardness were determined for wood from plantation-grown Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii), 34 years old, in Belgrad forest, near Istanbul, Turkey.
