The reproductive potential of Myzus persicae was determined on potato and sesame in the laboratory at 26.71 +or- 3.02 degrees C, 73.85 +or- 16.74% RH and LD 12:12. Potato leaves were used from preflowering and flowering plants and from upper, middle and lower strata. The net reproductive rate, mean generation length and intrinsic rate of natural increase were 15.72, 11.43 and 0.25, resp., on potato, and 51.76, 13.73 and 0.36, resp., on sesame.
