Presence of enterotoxigenic bacteria in milk

Presence of enterotoxigenic bacteria in milk

Revista de Produccion Animal 7(3): 125-127

31 milk samples from dairy factories or dairies in the Camaguey province of Cuba were analysed to determine the presence of coliforms and enterotoxigenic bacteria. Of these, 5 samples were positive, and 2 Escherichia coli and 17 Klebsiella pneumoniae strains were isolated. Of these 18 (94.7%) showed mannose-resistant haemagglutination to human A haemocytes.
