Regeneration of plum (Prunus domestica L.) cultivars Cacanska Rodna, Stanley, and Cacanska Najbolia from in vitro leaf explants

The regeneration of plum cultivars Cacanska Rodna, Stanley and Cacanska Najbolia from in vitro leaf explants was investigated on different media and in darkness or a 16/8 h light/dark cycle. Differences were detected between cultivars in their response to the different media. The highest regeneration ability was shown by Cacanska Rodna with 50-70% of explants regenerated on MS medium containing 1.65 mg thidiazuron and 0.2 mg NAA/litre.
