Resource use efficiency and optimum allocation in milk production on small farms in northern Haryana

The study carried out in the operational area of the Ambala-Kurukshetra Regional Rural Bank revealed that the regression analysis established concentrates as the most important input affecting milk production. The optimization of resources with the existing capital indicated the possibility of increasing milk output by diverting a part of funds from green fodder and human labor to concentrates. Timely and adequate amount of credit on easy terms would go a long way in increasing milk output on small farms.
