A two-year experiment was conducted to investigate the responses of plant and litter DW of P. notatum Pensacola swards to 0-80 g N/msuperscript 2 and cutting intervals of 10.5-42 d. The biomass and plant litter proportions differed in response to the treatments. On a seasonal basis, the main effect of N rate was most often observed in leaves > stems > standing dead material > stolons > below ground litter > roots > surface litter.
