Rotary veneer peeling of some softwoods and its veneer drying

Mogjae Gonghak = Journal of the Korean Wood Science and Technology 24(1): 34-47

Veneers of two nominal thicknesses, 1.5 and 2.5 mm, were rotary peeled from Japanese larch (Larix leptolepis), Dahurian larch (Larix gmelinii) and radiata pine (Pinus radiata) bolts unheated or heated in the water vat at a temperature of 66 degrees C by reaching a final temperature at 10 cm core of 60 degrees C to remain core diameter of 11.4 cm.
