Serological examination of zoonoses in veterinarians. Part II: prevalence of antibodies against parasitological zoonoses

137 veterinarians from Austria were examined for the prevalence of antibodies against parasitological zoonoses. Antibodies against the following parasites were detected: Toxoplasma gondii (55%), Toxocara canis (33%), Ascaris suum (22%), Taenia solium (1.5%), Trichinella spiralis (1.5%) and Echinococcus multilocularis (0.8%).
