Meads are wine beverages obtained from bee honey by fermentation. 55 samples of 11 kinds of mead produced in Poland were taken in the years 1993 and 1994. The concentrations of some metals were estimated by atomic absorption spectrometry. Average, maximum and minimum values for Pb, Cd, Ni, Cu, Zn, Mn, Fe and Cr in kinds of mead were tabulated.
