Abstract
In field trials in Bulgaria in 1990-92, it was shown that the new herbicide Mistral at 1300-1500 cmsuperscript 3/ha can be used successfully for the control of Johnsongrass (Sorghum halepense) during the 2- to 4-leaf and 8-leaf stages in maize under leached chernozem conditions. It is suggested that Mistral alone at 1200 g/ha, may give more complete control of broadleaved weeds.
