Substitution analysis of drought tolerance in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

Chromosome substitution lines of the wheat variety Cappelle Desprez into Chinese Spring were tested for drought tolerance in growth chambers. Three different moisture regimes were created: E1, fully irrigated control; E2, mid-season water stress (preanthesis); and E3, terminal water-stress during grain filling.
