Survival and humoral antibody response of Atlantic salmon, Salmo salar L., vaccinated against Aeromonas salmonicida ssp. achromogenes

Survival and humoral antibody response of Atlantic salmon, Salmo salar L., vaccinated against Aeromonas salmonicida ssp. achromogenes

Journal of Fish Diseases 20(5): 351-360

Atlantic salmon fingerlings were vaccinated against A. salmonicida subsp. achromogenes (Asa) by injection with 3 laboratory developed vaccines and a commercial autogenous bacterin (IcelandBiojec.OO, IBOO). There were 2 control groups, one was injected with phosphate buffered saline and the other with Freund's incomplete adjuvant. The humoral antibody responses to bacterial antigens were monitored by ELISA and Western blotting.
