Survival of Alternaria brassicae, A. brassicicola and A. alternata in the seeds of mustard (B. juncea) at different temperatures and relative humidities

Survival of A. brassicae, A. brassicicola and A. alternata in Indian mustard seeds was tested at room temp., 25+or-5 degrees C and 5+or-5 degrees. RH of these storage conditions was also recorded. The survival period of A. brassicae and A. brassicicola in infected seeds was less than 6 months at room temp. (4-46.1 degrees ) with 4-99% RH and more than 6 months at lower temp. and higher RH.
