Infected stems of the tropical pasture legume Stylosanthes scabra Fitzroy were assessed over 2 consecutive dry seasons in Queensland, Australia, to determine if C. gloeosporioides (Glomerella cingulata) survived as conidia on lesions formed during the previous wet season or as hyphae within infected tissue.
