Survival of Xanthomonas campestris pv. malvacearum in dry tissue of cotton

The survival of X. campestris pv. malvacearum (X. axonopodis pv. malvacearum) on infected cotton tissue stored for 90 months under lab. conditions at 22 degrees -29 degrees C was investigated using cotton leaves of varieties Deltapine 25 and Cooker 310, and lines Acala 44, Mebane B-1, Lambert L-42 and Lambert L-69.
