Survival of ovine Strongylata larvae in natural pastures

Ovine faeces, heavily infected with Strongylata larvae, were scattered over natural pastures in Cuba and then sampled during both dry and rainy seasons. Highest numbers of infective larvae were recorded in week 3 of the dry season and in week 4 of the rainy season. Lowest numbers of infective larvae were noted in weeks one and 6 of the dry season and on day 42 after the start of the rainy season.
