Susceptibility of a wild strain of Musca domestica to different insecticides using topical application method

Tests with a susceptible laboratory strain (H) and a wild strain (M) of M. domestica, collected from a cow pen and a poultry farm in Mard-abad, Karadj, Iran, indicated that the M strain had been regularly exposed to carbaryl, trichlorfon and Linden every 2 weeks. The M strain showed a resistance ratio (RS) of 3.44, 1.4, 2.2, 25.28, 1, and 1.1 to malathion, BHC DDT, propoxur, deltamethrin and Trebon respectively, compared to the H strain.
