Susceptibility of certain apricot-tree varieties to the plum-pox virus pathogenic action

Susceptibility of certain apricot-tree varieties to the plum-pox virus pathogenic action

Acta Horticulturae ( 384): 565-569

A study was undertaken to determine the degree susceptibility of 58 apricot varieties to plum pox potyvirus (PPV) and to select the resistant ones for possible use in a breeding programme. Of the 58 apricot cultivars which were examined in the field for their susceptibility to PPV infection, only Stella seemed to be resistant, with a susceptibility index of 0 after 16 years from planting.
