Seven insecticides were tested as contact poisons against viviparous adults of Dactynotus carthami Of these, phosphamidon, endosulfan, malathion, carbaryl and pyrethrins were more toxic and DDT less toxic than gamma BHC In another related study, endosulfan, malathion and lindane were highly effective against Aphis craccivora, A. gossypii and Lipaphis erysimi, respectively.
