Susceptibility of some apricot cultivars and genotypes to blossom infection from Monilia laxa (Aderh. et Rhul.)

In 1994 and 1995 in the Czech Republic, resistance to M. laxa was evaluated in 47 apricot cultivars and genotypes. In both years without any chemical protection, the test orchard was badly affected by natural infections, and losses of yields were found in all the susceptible cultivars. The genotype HL PSS 5 showing practically no disease symptoms was the most resistant.
