Susceptibility of various weed groups as influenced by herbicide mixtures and sequential application in transplanted rice

Field experiments were conducted at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, during 1991-92 to study the effect of herbicide mixtures and their sequential application on the density and dry weight of various groups of weeds in transplanted rice. The results indicated that sequential application of 2,4-D at 1.0 kg/ha markedly reduced the growth of sedges and broadleaved weeds throughout the crop growth period.
