Suspected resistance of gastrointestinal nematodes in camel to tetramisole and fenbendazole

Anthelmintic resistance is reported in camels from Rajasthan, India, which were naturally infected with mixed infections of gastrointestinal nematodes. Five groups of 10 camels were given single oral doses of 5 mg/kg albendazole, 5 mg/kg fenbendazole, 7.5 mg/kg levamisole, 15 mg/kg tetramisole and a subcutaneous dose of 0.2 mg/kg ivermectin, respectively, and a sixth group comprised untreated controls.
