Suspended cell culture of Rosmarinus officinalis and production of essential oils

Plant Physiology Communications 32(1): 9-12

Shoot apices were cultured on B5 medium at 25 +or-2 degrees C in the dark. After 3 weeks, calluses were transferred to a shake culture in liquid media in the dark. The liquid media used were B5 supplemented with 0.025 micro g IAA + 1 mg 6-BA + 0.1 mg NAA/litre for induction, and B5 supplemented with 0.25 mg NAA + 0.5 mg KT + 1 mg 2,4-D/litre for subculture.
