Suspended solids and nutrient losses during soil preparation for irrigated rice

Suspended solids and nutrient losses during soil preparation for irrigated rice

Agropecuaria Catarinense 9(2): 44-46

Tables and graphs show the amount of suspended solids and nutrients (P, K, Ca, Mg) in drainage water sampled at 0, 12, 24, 48, 72 and 96 h after soil preparation for irrigated rice in a Cambisol and a Humic Gleysol. Losses of nutrients were greater from the Cambisol than from Gleysol.
