Suspension cultures and tracheary elements differentiation in vitro in Helianthus tuberosus L

The stem tubers of Jerusalem artichoke were cultured on MS media supplemented with 1.2 mg 2,4-D/litre. Callus was induced and suspension cultures were formed. About 30-50% of cells differentiated into tracheary elements on MS media supplemented with 1.0 mg 2,4-D and 5.0 mg 6-BAP litre for 9 days.
