Sustainability and long-term dynamics of soil organic matter and nutrients under alternative management strategies

A model was developed to determine the influence of environmental conditions and management practices on the degree of sustainability and the processes determining production and soil characteristics and their interactions. Model descriptions of environmental conditions, soil organic matter dynamics, and crop and soil management, and the determination of inorganic phosphorus, soil acidity, crop nutrient availability, crop water availability, crop production, and soil erosion are described.
