Agricultural restructuring and sustainability: a geographical perspective: 293-311



The US pig industry is highlighted as an agricultural sector that provides evidence of the contradictions between sustainable and industrial structured farming. The research reported is concerned with the fundamental tensions between an industrially structured pig commodity system and the sustainable paradigm. The geographical emphasis of the analysis is on North Carolina.
