Sustainability map for arable peatland based on forecasting data of ground substance

The sustainability of arable peatland was evaluated based on forecasting ground subsidence, and by compiling a map of the central part of the Ishikari peatland (Japan) using a geographical information system. High moor peat soils (Sphagnofibrists) and low moor peat soils (Medihemists) occupy ~ 70% of the study area. Soil top-dressing was carried out in a 221.0 kmsuperscript 2 area and the most frequent thickness of top-dressed soil was in the 5-20 cm class.
