Sustainable coffee in Central America: resources and redefinitions

The article discusses recent changes in coffee production in Central America. Although it has long been important in international trade, it is only in recent decades that coffee production has undergone massive capitalization and technical change, including the introduction of new varieties, the reduction of shaded areas and the use of chemicals.
